MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

We are unable to accept agencies, who only offer “on-line” matching services, without full on-going support to the Au Pair throughout the stay.

Where a member has multiple trading addresses under the same company name, only one entry will appear on the BAPAA website.

Multiple trading names under the same ownership will be charged for membership on an individual basis. For franchise enquiries, please contact us.

To be eligible for Full Membership of BAPAA, agencies must:

  • be engaged in the activity of sending or receiving Au Pairs;
  • have been established as a trading organisation for at least twelve months;
  • be able to demonstrate full compliance with the BAPAA agency Code of Conduct;
  • be financially solvent and able to provide details of a current business bank account.

Full Membership of BAPAA for 2015-2016 costs £300 and includes a listing on the BAPAA website and use of the internationally recognised BAPAA logo.

A Processing Fee of £50 is charged for all new member applications.

Associate Membership, which is available to agencies who have not yet been in business for the 12 months minimum required for full membership, costs £150 for one year only. After one year, Associate Membership ceases and, following a review, agencies may be invited to apply for full membership of BAPAA.

To be eligible for Associate Membership of BAPAA, agencies must:

  • be engaged in the activity of sending or receiving Au Pairs;
  • be established as a legal entity;
  • be able to demonstrate progress towards full compliance with the BAPAA agency Code of Conduct;
  • be financially solvent and able to provide details of current business bank account.

Under the Associate Membership category, agencies can participate in the BAPAA Au Pair “find a friend” website, have access to discounted au pair outings, receive newsletters and information relating to visa issues etc. and attend BAPAA’s Annual Conference with AGM.

However, please note that the Associate Membership category does not include listing on the BAPAA website or use of the BAPAA logo.

A Processing Fee of £50 is charged for all new member applications.

All member agencies, whether Full or Associate members, must be registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection.

Please note that BAPAA recommends that all agencies possess professional indemnity insurance.

We would also like to point out that the British Au Pair Agencies Association does not undertake to provide names of potential international partners to its members; neither does the Association give advice on starting up in business or on setting up an Au Pair Agency.
